Amanda Palmieri Ataei, PharmD
Pharmacist • Digital Health & Product • Entrepreneur
Amanda Ataei, PharmD is a pharmacist, healthcare entrepreneur, and digital health professional whose career reflects the idea at the center of Higherful: your PharmD can become the foundation for far more than one career path.
Amanda spent nearly a decade within community pharmacy, progressing from pharmacy technician to pharmacist and ultimately Pharmacy Manager. Along the way, she expanded beyond the day-to-day responsibilities of pharmacy practice by taking on leadership, talent development, precepting, and innovation-focused opportunities that exposed her to a different side of healthcare.
Those experiences eventually helped Amanda make one of the biggest transitions of her career: moving from pharmacy management into digital health and product, where she now applies her pharmacy background to the development and improvement of healthcare products and experiences.
Her path is an example of something many pharmacists don't realize early in their careers: you don't necessarily have to start over to move in a new direction. Skills developed in pharmacy, from operations and leadership to problem-solving, communication, workflow design, and understanding patient needs, can become highly valuable in roles that may never have "pharmacist" in the title.
Amanda is also the Co-Founder of Pharther Health, a pharmacist-led healthcare company built to provide patients with ongoing medication support, optimization, and healthcare navigation between traditional medical visits.
Her interests extend beyond traditional healthcare as well. Amanda is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and NASM Certified Nutrition Coach, combining her pharmacy background with additional education in fitness, nutrition, and evidence-based health. That combination has shaped her belief that pharmacists can continue stacking new skills onto the foundation of their PharmD and create careers that reflect their individual interests and strengths.
Through Higherful, Amanda is helping pharmacists do exactly that: recognize the value of the experience they already have, discover opportunities they may not have known existed, and build the skills that can open new doors.
Her career has evolved from the pharmacy counter to pharmacy leadership, entrepreneurship, and digital product. Higherful exists to help more pharmacists realize that their own path can evolve, too.

Nima Ataei, PharmD, MS

Nima Ataei, PharmD, MS is a pharmacist, healthcare entrepreneur, and international speaker focused on expanding what pharmacists believe is possible with a PharmD.
After earning his Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Affairs, Nima built a career spanning pharmacy practice, leadership, healthcare entrepreneurship, education, and business. His experience showed him firsthand that many of the skills pharmacists develop can create opportunities far beyond the career paths they are traditionally taught to pursue.
Nima is the founder of Pharther Health, a pharmacist-led healthcare company focused on supporting patients between physician visits through medication optimization and chronic condition management. He is also the creator of Pharmacy Unlocked, a weekly newsletter helping pharmacists and pharmacy students understand where the profession is heading, discover emerging career paths, and identify new ways to leverage their PharmD.
His work has also taken him to international stages, where he has spoken about the future of pharmacy, healthcare entrepreneurship, and the opportunities available to pharmacists beyond traditional practice settings.
Through Higherful, Nima brings those experiences together with one goal: help pharmacists see more of what their degree makes possible.
Whether that means discovering a career they didn't know existed, translating pharmacy experience into a new industry, developing new skills, building something of their own, or simply understanding the options available to them, Nima believes pharmacists should have a much bigger view of where their PharmD can take them.
